This past Friday I also attended the Los Angeles Philharmonic's concert
and I noticed that Lorin Levee was wiping his mouthpiece and reed with
what appeared to be a chamois every chance he got. Does anyone know why
he does this?

I was also surprised to see Steve Piazza playing second clarinet. I knew
he played clarinet but I never knew had played for the LA Phil.
