Eric,
It sounds like it is more your fingers,arms, and general body that is tense
instead of just your mouth. A really effective way to relax your self is to
do the following. Tense up your arms really tightly, hold the tension for 5
seconds, then relax them. Do that for the various parts of your body and you
will start out very relaxed. It is much eaiser to feel the concept of
relaxation with that method. It works for my students very well.

I have always been a tense player and am trying to control this. My teacher
tells me just to relax, but it's not as easy as it sounds. Are there any
hints
out there on this subject? I would appreciate any advice that could be
given.
