I can see it all now....

(Mozart Clarinet Concerto playing in background.)
"Good evening monsieur, I see you have come for zee reed tasting, cork
grease smelling event tonight. I weell show you to your table and un
waiter weel be rright with you. Follow moi."
You arrive at the table and find a menu of different reeds and cork grease
flavors.
The waiter arrives. "Let me see. I think I'll try a Vandoren grape 3
1/2, and a Glotin peach 4. I'd also like to sample some Buffet apple
scented cork grease please."
"Very good monsieur. Pearhaps as you wait, you would like to see zee
display of discarded Benny Goodman reeds which we have flavored in a nice
orange sauce."
You go look at the display and then come back to the table and find a
tray containing 2 boxes of reeds and a tube of cork grease.
You open the wrapper on the box of Vandorens and sniff the top of the
box.
"Ahhh. Such a wonderful grape scent. Lovely bouquet."
You take one of 2 reeds out of the box run it under your nose and put it in
your mouth.
"Hmm. The flavor is surely intense, but it does not have the subtleties
of the Vandoren '93. Perhaps the Glotin is what I'm looking for."
You open the Glotin pack and sniff the box again. Then you start sucking
on it.
"Yes! What wonderful texture. Such a wonderful interplay between the
peach and bamboo. Not since '91 has there been such a wonderful flavor
combination!"
After you finish the reeds you take a sniff of the apple scented cork grease
and declare the evening a success.

I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into the future.
