My copy of the "Concertino" is published by G. Schirmer and is
listed for "Flute, Viola (or Clarinet), and String Orchestra or Piano.

It's one of my favorite compositions, and, having performed
it a few times, I believe it to sound better played on clarinet than on
viola. You might be interested to know that a frequently cited barrier
against the piece being performed more often in its chamber setting
is the complexity of the piano reduction. Apparently most routined
chamber-music pianists who do play the Concertino report that they have
done simplifying edits of their parts and that the music does not suffer
grievously from the deletions.
