Sam: This is a very common technique used in assisting in hand-position and
to aide in crossing the break. When you "anchor" the LH pinky on the E/B
key it helps keep your LH wrist in and down AND it helps the LH first
finger learn to "roll" up to the A key ( if this is clear). We strive for
as little wrist motion as possible and anchoring the pinky keys really
assists in this endeavor.
