I don't know how many clarinet players it takes to change a light bulb,
but the other day seven of us old clarinet players at the senior center
were coming down in the elevator to play for a recital. We were all
carrying music stands, music, and of course clarinets and the topic of
discussion became; "How many clarinet players can fit in an elevator?"
You should have seen the surprised look on the faces of those waiting for
the elevator when the door opened and we said, "Sorry, we didn't have
anyplace else to warm up!"
