Klarinet Korrespondents:

I have already sent this mail to a flute list. Can anyone suggest suitable
pieces for the clarinet and cello that could be transcribed for flute and cello
at the competence levels given below, please?

|
| Can anybody suggest some works for flute and cello suitable for:
|
| = beginner flautist, about 18 months' experience
| = grade 6 cellist, about 4 years' experience (Mendelssohn's `Lied Ohne
Worte'
| from memory)
|
| Works for the clarinet and cello would also do as we can transcribe to
suitable
| keys.
|
| The cellist is my daughter and the flautist is her friend. For some reason
| they have never jammed together. But last weekend when we stayed they were
| digging out all kinds of gospel music and anything they could lay their hands
| on.
|
| I'd like to encourage the enthusiasm before it wanes. By the way, I'm not
| a musician, just a father with an Internet connection. I found this list
| by using the Inktomi search engine on the Web.
|
| Regards,
| Hedley
