I really enjoyed the Scott barrell I used for a time. It provided my setup wit
h a little more resistance that I was looking for then. I have since re
turned to the original barrel of the horn (Yamaha CS '93). In small ensembles
or chamber, I would consider using the Scott for a more muted effect. With a
Wells mouthpiece and V-12 reeds, this is the response I have gotten. Everyone
and their setup is different, so that would be a consideration.
