Hi, Alex,

Last year I wrote a paper for bibliography comparing two editions of the
Mozart Concerto. The absolutely best edition for you to consult would be
the Urtext version recently put out by the New Mozart Edition (Neuen
Mozart-Ausgabe), published by Barenreiter. There is also some
introductory information about the preapration of the urtext edition that
may be useful for you.

Also, don't forget to include the priceless quote from a letter Mozart
wrote, about the Mannheim orchestra; it begins something like "Ah, if
only we had clarinets! You cannot imagine the sound of an orchestra with
clarinets.....". It's in just about every possible source on Mozart, so
I'm sure you'll find it!!!!!

Enjoy!
