There is sooooo very much written about the Mozart clarinet concerto that
you will be scared by all the info. Here is just the tip of the iceburg in
terms of material written about the concerto ( in no particular order by
the way)
Music and Letters-Mozart and the Clarinetby Martha Kingdon Ward.

The Musical Quarterly-The Wind-Instruments in Mozart's Symphonies by
Nathan Border

Mozart and the basset clarinet by Alan Hacker

The Music Review-The Original Text of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto by
George Dazely

College Music Symposium-The Basset Clarinet by Pamela Poulin

Also try any of the big articles on the history of the clarinet in the
Grove's Dictionary, and the books devoted to the history of the clarinet
by the following authors:
Osker Kroll (there is an english translation of
this), Geoffry Rendall, Jack Brymer. And the Pamela Weston books
entitled Virtuosi of the Past and More Virtuosi of the Past ( I know
Anton Stadler for whom the concerto was written is discussed in More
Clarinet Virtuosi of the Past.
Again, this is just the tip of the iceburg. Also, try the book by David
Etheridge The Mozart Clarinet Concerto but be very wary of the information
sometimes he is not always correct in his interetation of the facts.
