Everett Austin recently wrote about buying Morgan mouthpieces and
about Morgan's recent "retooling." I bought a recent Morgan 06 and
found that the window is very narrow compared with other mouthpieces
I own (including earlier Morgan's). There is, in fact, quite a bit
of reed "hanging over" the side rails at the tip of the mouthpiece.
Rather than producing a "dark" tone, it seems to just be overly
muffled. Is mine an unique experience?
