I agree that there is a quality problem with Amati instruments. I
once borrowed one and it was pretty crappy. It was a full Boehm A clarinet.
The tone holes were drilled very poorly. The keys were binding and didn't
fit properly over the tone holes. And the intonation..! Flat, sharp, you
name it. I think it was tuned for some Indian raga!
