Subj: I NEED A MOUTHPIECE!

Hi
I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on how to
purchase a mouthpiece. I am currently playing a Marcellus on my
Buffet R-13. I love it and will continue to use it but I haven't
played on anything else so I want to know what I'm missing! Actually ,
it doesn't give me the response I want in the altissimo. Anyway, I
just want to find something that will help improve my playing.
I was looking forward to trying some out on the 2 wk trial thing the
Woodwind and Brasswind Co has. I placed the order and everything but
alas, It took FOREVER and when I called(4weeks later) they told me
they didn't have the ones I wanted. ahhh
My problem is that I go to university in Nova Scotia and shipping
time is a pain. I want to try a
Johnston(orJohnson!)Pyne,Gigliotti,Vandoren M-13? to name a few. I
don't exactly know ooodles about all this but I want to
experiment,who knows maybe I'll find my dream mouthpiece!
So if you know of any stores,people or companies etc. who would be
willing to let me try some out,-ANY out- that would be
great.Preferably something that I could recieve in the month
of January.There are at least a dozen Clarinet players at my school
who are looking too.
Any ideas or input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
seeing as I am a poor university student:( who can't afford to fly
somewhere AND buy a mouthpiece!
