I play a Le Blanc Esprite and my tuner tells me my high F and F# are
flat. (more than 1/8 of a tone. G is fine. I have been shown how to
bring these notes nicely into tune by depressing the right hand rings
without covering the holes. Is that what you mean by the fork key ? I
find it imposible to lip up these notes the amount required. I have an
older LeBlanc A as well and this does not have this problem to the same
extent. It seems to me to be a significant design fault.
The Esrite is a popular model here for serious students as it is about
$1000 cheaper than a full professional model.
