Be sure you try several different brands and models!! I'm sure that high F
isn't flat on every single Buffet clarinet. I played on a model when I was
shopping where the throat A was flat. Every single instrument is going to be
different you know, so you've got to pick out the one that works for *you*
-- not what works for "everyone else." I have a feeling you know all this,
but your posting sounded like you assumed all the clarinets Buffet makes
have the same intonation problems. They most definitely DON'T!
