We are visiting family in Toronto, Canada, over Christmas and I would be
pleased to hear of any good woodwind (clarinet) and music shops in
Toronto. We are particularly interested in shops which carry a good stock
of new and second-hand clarinets.

Surprisingly, there are not a great number of great shops in Toronto.
Long & McQuade 925 Bloor St W near Ossington Subway [416-588-7886] is
perhaps the largest instrument dealer. They aslo have smaller satellite
stores. Cosmo Music [905-889-6382], in Richmond Hill is another.
Boddington Music 1650 Avenue Rd north of Lawrence [785-5000] has a large
selection of music, a lot of it is geared toward the primary & high school
educators.

John Weir of Band Instrument Services in Scarborough runs a repair shop
[416-261-2230] (great repairman!) and often has a bit of a trade in used
instruments.

I am a Mac used and therefore don't know where you'd find Finale for the
PC, but for sure, it is readily available here from a number of sources.
There is a thriving music software industry here.

Hope that's of some help.
