To add to my earlier post and David Blumberg's remarks, it IS one hell of
a good disc. I may be biased, as I perform on it as part of the wind
ensemble, but he does things musically that few can pull off.

I'm tired of hearing that as a player and teacher he only focuses on the
technical side of the clarinet--his recent recital of the Mozart and Brahms
quintets was an amazing musical experience. Just because it's difficult
to excel at both technical prowess AND mature musical
expression doesn't mean that no one can.
