This is very alarming. I have done business with Woodwind Services (now
Dorn) over a period of several years. While I have not detected any
financial wrong doing, (I am now on my guard), they sometimes send the
wrong music and insist that to correct the mistake the customer must pay
the return postage etc., etc. The missing music has never been supplied.
They also send 'free' gifts. Since the last mistake 2 years ago I have
not placed an order of any size with them, until I recently received 10
copies each of their clarinet and saxophone catalogues (I don't play the
saxophone). Watch this space.
I have had good service from Leybens in Kansas City, whom I first met on
their stands at ICA conferences in the days when they were held at Denver
et al.
