I read the comments on the Yamaha and Vito student clarinets and noted the
absence of remarks about the Bundy. I play the Bundy clarinet as an adult
late-comer to the instrument. I've been at it about two years now, playing
duets with another late@-----.

We are both retired, both reasonably accomplished amateur players of other
instruments, and have played in amateur orchestra. We did exchange
instruments one day for a few minutes, and neither of us felt quite satisfied
with the others instrument.

Is there somenthing about the Bundy in tonal quality (We prefer and play
classical music) or the key mechanism, or the resistance of the
instrument or what that seems to make it less desirable for students.

I selected it because I had heard of Selmer and thought it would be good for
that reason. Yamaha and Vito had no name recognition for me. Can someone
enlighten me as to the "downside" of using a Bundy ?

Phil
