Actually, I was aware of all that you said about Leblanc, Yamaha and so forth
being played by important professionals, but made the statement about R-13s
to be a little provocative. James Campbell I believe plays Selmer Recitals,
for example. Still, the most readily available and recommended is the R-13
in this country, and a lot of research in designing barrels has been directed
at the improvement of this model. Yet, is it really the ideal instrument?
(Even within the Buffet family there is also the RC, RC Prestige and ELite,
not to mention tthe other French makes, English instruments, German, Yamaha,
etc)
