Five years ago my band bought two Wurlitzers for two of its members (not me). I
understand that there is no stock. When you order a clarinet, the factory starts
making exactly that: ONE clarinet, for YOU. You have to wait until it's ready,
and you have to take that particular clarinet. No choice. Whats more: no
guarantee! Walk out of the Wurlitzer door and you're on your own.

There is a huge difference in playing a German type clarinet and a French type.
The bores and mouthpieces are very different.
The two members of my band for whom the Wurlitzers were bought, play clarinet
for more than twenty years (LeBlancs). After a year of trying, they couldn't get
used to the Wurlitzers and passed them on to other members. One of them couldn't
use it either.

By the way, I've seen a recent Yamaha folder featuring a Wurlitzer- type
clarinet, made by Yamaha. Maybe this is for sale from stock.
