I have a CD titled 'Clarinet Masquerade' by the Thurston Clarinet Quartet
It's an English release (I don't have it with me or I'd give you more info)
One of the members uses a 'piccolo clarinet'. There's a couple of photos in
the liner notes, it's a tiny little bugger, my guess is that it's the Ab
piccolo clarinet (sopranino) you're asking about. I don't recall any exposed
solo's but you definitely know it's being used, there is some real high
clarinet parts on some of the cuts. There is an interesting variety of
pieces on the CD and the ensemble playing is superb. It's worth checking out
if you can find it.

Let me know if you find anything else interesting.
