Personally, my favorite student clarinets are the Buffet B-12's. They cost
the same as the Vito's and Yamaha's, maybe even less and you get the
wonderful Buffet keywork. I've played on some of these that played almost
as well as my R-13! When the student is ready for an R-13, they don't have
to go through a drastic adjustment period when they do.
