Thanks for the reply. The version we're playing is for full orchestra.

What I'm attempting to ascertain is whether the part at 12 is correct.
If I play through the entire phrase by itself, the way it is written (F#
and C# in the key signature and G# accidentals) it does not sound like
the right pitches. If I play the part changing the F#'s to F natural and
E naturals to Eb, and make the arpeggio in the 4th bar F major instead of
D major, the part sounds "melodically correct." With these changes the
bass clarinet part coincides with the trumpet part....I think. At least
that's what our conductor arrived at. I don't have the full score here
so I cannot compare harmonically. The 1st tenor sax part also must be
altered in the same manner.

I don't know if I've cleared anything up or if I've just muddied the
waters. Thanks again for your input!
