According to Boosey & Hawkes/Buffet Crampon here's your answer:

The R-13 is the only Buffet Crampon clarinet that has no model marking on
the instrument. All others have the model number engraved on the upper
joint, or they have a metal badge with the model stamped on it, also placed
on the upper joint. If a clarinet has no model marking, it is very
probably an R-13.
