The Yamaha 26II is the only one I'm familiar with- I have one myself, and
I've had lots of students playing them, and I know several orchestral
professionals who keep them on hand for outdoor concerts. I find it the
best of the plastic student models (I use the term "plastic" loosely to
include ABS, composite, any other non-wood) that I've encountered, which
includes Vito, Bundy and others.

Speaking of price, last time I checked the YCL26II was selling for around
$500 _Canadian_ (less than US$400!) I would hate to tread on any
nationalist toes, but it might be worth checking with your airlines and
customs people to see how much it would cost you to order them from, for
example, Ward Music in Vancouver- or you could email International Music
Suppliers <73543.1004@-----.com> - their catalog doesn't list Yamaha,
but their price on the Buffet E-11 (their lowest priced wood model) is
US$550. Perhaps just telling your local music store about these prices and
threatening to bypass them entirely would spur them to some action...
