A couple of years ago, when Stolzman's Christmas album came out, my mom
bought it for me. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but on the whole, I find
it all quite tasty, and the Kalmen Opperman clarinet choir is on it. Some of
the most wonderful clarinet sounds I've EVER heard. (I wish I could use
italics.) Steve Hartman, Paul Surapine, and Margo McGowan play soprano, Phil
Bashor plays alto, Dan Kelly, bass and Adam Ebert contrabass. Give it a
whirl! It's really wonderful, and hey, it's November, time to begin digging
out your Christmas recordings, for what is the holiday season without music,
and better yet clarinet music played with wonderful friends?
