To all who are interested in opera arias transcriptions for clarinet
(sorry, I don't remember specifically those of you who responded to my
inquiry a few weeks ago...):

In addition to the many wonderful 19th century compositions based
on operatic themes, there are a few collections of opera arias for
clarinet and piano available for those of you who enjoy playing these
melodies on recitals or for your own personal fulfillment. Unlike the
many virtuosic pieces like the Bassi, Baermann, Muller, Cavallini,
etc., the solos featured in these collections are strictly based on
the actual opera melody, and not further developed into technical
showpieces.
