Nate,
Any judge worth his, her salt should be unbiased. I myself avoid judging my
own students because they keep getting 1st chair (districts through state)
and I don't want any undue complaints of "playing favorites".

Subject: Districts audition

Hi everyone,

My lesson teacher this also happens to be the districts adjudicator for the
MA central district band. This means I'm going to be auditioning for my own
teacher! Some people have told that this is bad, and others say that it's
great. I don't know what to think. All she's said is: "I'm going to be very
fair." So what should I think? Am I lucky to have her as my adjudicator?
