Villa-Lobos did spend a lengthy amount of time in Paris and possibly was
acquainted with players who used the "full Boehm" and they may have had
the Low E-flat. He was a Brazilian composer. This is unrelated, but I
understand quite a few of the Italian players use an instrument with a
low E-flat. I did not get in on some of earlier notes about the
Villa-Lobos' Quartet. Is it a good piece and what is the
instrumentation? Sorry if this is redundant.
