If you are in the Seattle area over the next 4 weeks and are looking
for something to do musically let me suggest a concert series that 40
of my friends and I are doing to get food for the south Snohomish
County food banks. Four of the 5 concerts start at 230 Sunday afternoon
25 October through the 19th of November. All of the concerts are in the
Edmonds, Lynnwood and Bothell areas.

The concerts feature a 40 voice choir, The King'schorale. The featured
works are Benjamin Britten's "A Ceremony of Carols" (SATB arrangement)
and John Rutter's "Gloria". There will be other choral works by Holst
and Vaughan Williams, a sonata for oboe, cello and piano by Jean
Baptise Loeillet and a suit of themes by Henry Purcell by the 8 piece
brass, tympani, organ ensemble. There will be a free will offering to
help us defray our costs. We do ask that everyone bring a can of food
for the several food banks. Drop me a line for details and locations of
the several concert sites. This is a great concert for a good cause.
Look for the very large, bear-like bass, with glasses, graying beard
and balding head. Come on over and say "hi", I'm friendly. John
