Well, dear, we've all been there -- mean stand partners, that is.
Last night I went to the Huntington Beach Community Band rehearsal.
As always I took a duet, a trio, a quartet and a quintet to
play during the ten minute break with anyone I could round up.
Arriving early, I asked my stand partner to play the Pranzer
Duo # 1 with me and you know what he said? "No, I have to
practice" -- and he was practicing, wearing a Walkman
(music - 1, I presume -- what else could one practice wearing
a Walkman?). WELL! (harrumph!) My problem is that I don't get any
respect. So, during the break I played the duet with my other
stand partner, Sally. She's prettier than he is anyway! 8-)
Maybe you ought to shift your attention to that other guy who
was more sensitive.
