I don't know if this went through: I had it "returned" as
"undeliverable", so I'm trying again! If it DID go through, my apologies!

Over the past many years, I have played in several pit groups
that, for some reason or other, have had to field a less-than-full
orchestra! Often, I have ended up as the only wind player! Obviously,
just playing the Reed II book when there are no other reeds just doesn't
make it, so I've ended up completely reworking a reed part from scratch
from the score (shamelessly taking all the interesting solos, as well as
ensuring that the "whole note" accompaniament I'm playing is really the
best pitch!). Keep in mind I have not rearranged the shows; I've just
picked and chosen from the arrangement to compile a reed part that would
work and fill out the "orchestra". I still relied on the pianist to cover
parts I didn't "take" (string chords, bass, etc.), as well as to give me a
chance to catch my breath!
Anyway, after doing all of that work, I can't bring myself to throw
it away after the run is over, so I've collected quite a few of these
reductions! The thought just occurred to me that maybe others out there
have done the same (or are in need of doing the same), and that, if so, we
could create an "electronic repository" (i.e. WHO HAS WHAT) of shows that
have already been "reduced".
Among others, I have:

Fiorello (Clarinet/soprano sax/soprano recorder. We also had piano, bass,
percussion)
I Do! I Do! (Clarinet/soprano recorder. We had a piano, as well.)

Plus others that I can't remember this early in the morning (11:30, but
who's counting!)

In addendum, I wanted to point out that I would not intend these reductions
to be used without still renting from the publisher!
