Dan Leeson is the man who knows about basset horns. The Leblanc has a larger
bore than the traditional basset horns, and the sound it makes (though very
attractive) is pretty un-Mozartian, being more like an alto clarinet *should*
sound, but hardly ever does. It is much easier to play.
