Go an additional step???? What, they arn't expensive enough all ready??

I don't care how well you can measure a reed, if the cane is junk you aren't
going
to get a good reed no matter what the dimentions are.

I just kind of thought of a new question that maybe someone can answer.
How
hard is it to grow cane. Has anyone ever thought of farming it and using some
of
the cross bread techniques that we have for other plants to develope a good
cane.
Here we have over 30 different types of corn for different uses, can the same
be done
with cane?? I'm not a farmer so maybe I'm being ignorant, but are thier
possibiliies
and has Vandoran or anyone ever tried??
