This is getting worse, but it is not a new phenomenon on the net. For more
information, those with a web browser may like to look at the internet black
list at

which discusses many asspects of spamming and methods to "discourage"
companies from doing it. If you do not have access to a web browser (eg
netscape, mosaic etc) then I will happily mail a copy to individuals who
request it.

I should mention that as I only get the digest version of KLARINET so I do
not see the original message headers. It may be that this is not an
advertising spam but a trick to get people to email/fax an innocent,
unsuspecting 3rd party who gets into work monday morning to find 1000's of
email/faxes half wanting more information about the offer and half hate
mail. The message mail header can be easily forged. Maybe one of you would
be kind enough to send me a copy of the original mail header so that I can
try to discover the true origine.
