If this appears twice- I'm sorry. I don't know where the letter that I
started earlier today went- : )

This past summer the Fulton Community Theatre performed Hello Dolly. I
really enjoyed the show. The book was not very difficult- but you need to be
prepared to double. I don't know much about the violin parts- I do know that
the *train* music gave some of the players some problems (they were in HS- so
maybe they just needed more practice).

The woodwind books are divided up as follows:

Reed 1 Picc, flute, & clarinet (this book is mostly flute)

Reed 2 Clarinet and alto sax (I played this part)- mostly 1st clarinet
parts- 1 solo not difficult - the hardest part was coordinating with Dolly-
she tended to sing it differently every time- I finally wrote her words in
under my notes so that I could follow her better.

Reed 3 Clarinet & tenor sax- (I think that this book was mostly tenor)

I did enjoy playing the show. Waitor's Galop was pretty fast-(& very long) -
it also went through almost every key- fortunatley most of this was cut and
the parts that were left were mainly in the key of concert C.

Hope this helps-

Anne

PS- I just went on-line and I found my earlier letter- I wasn't done with it
and I was going to come back and fix it up- But I guess that somehow I wrote
ther letter from my dad's e-mail address and he did a flashsession and sent
it out- sorry about that : )
