This is a great play for the clarinet. I wish I had gotten to play the parts
but I was recruited to play violin instead. The clar parts are klesmerish
as the play is based in a Russian-Jewish setting. The parts are high
and there is the big solo during the bottle dance scene. I don't know many
specifics as I didnt' play them myself. However, if I had a chance, I would d
definitely play them. It would be fun and interesting. Of course the violin
parts aren't bad either (it is called Fiddler on the roof) Have fun watching
the "fiddler" and the "clarinet player" fake during the two solo spots.
