It seems silly (and even improbably) that Vandoren would bother to measure
reed strengths so precisely. The instant the reeds are shipped to their
destination, they'll certainly change strength. I think the bottom line for
us clarinet players is: there is no science to making/purchasing reeds.
We've just got to buy plenty and use whatever works.
