As it's already been pointed out, Vandoren reeds seem to be less consistent
recently. I was in western Europe with a concert band this summer and they
experienced a tremendous heat wave, France included. Does anyone know if
this might attribute to our inconsistency troubles? Maybe they're having
trouble with the cane.

Btw, I was in Europe for a month and only went through three reeds, playing
in a concert every other day. Doesn't that seem odd -- especially since my
clarinet and equipment sat in a hot truck most of the time? Guess I got lucky!
