Whoever suggested the Benny Goodman story with Steve Allen was a giant
stinker understated the case by major factors. Even Goodman hated the
movie. In the scene where Goodman plays at the Paramount Theatre in NY,
the house is shown as a revlatively small place, hardly big enough to hold
a big crowd. Well, I was there when Benny played and the Minnesota Vikings
could have played the Dallas Cowboys in that place!
