In my 30 years experience in retail it is generally NOT the dealer that
promotes the notion of an instrument "blowing out". This is a notion
promoted by the players themselves. I'm sure there are dealers who will
capitalize on this theory ... why fight city hall? Besides what about that
growing market of vintage instruments? I have 2 or 3 people (teachers not
dealers) in NYC that want older Buffet clarinets to sell to their students.
