My understanding is that you are correct-- the guy for Minnesota won the
audition audition. The shocker for me is that Bruce Yeh was first
runner-up. I don't have the name of the Minnesota guy, but my
understanding is that Donald Montanaro, the current Curtis teacher and
second clarinet at Philly, has been pretty vocal in that he considers the
guy who own to be his best student ever.
