Okay, does ANYONE who plays clarinet, regularly for a living, use
fibrocell or other synthetic reeds?! In my continuing experiment with
these, the only problem I'm finding is getting the right HARDNESS.
I've gone back to Vandoren, not because I'm unhappy with the sound quality
of the fibrocell's, but because I can't get the gradation of hardness I
need. It seems that with the difficulty of getting consistency from
cane reeds, a suitable synthetic would be the way to go...!
