Jaquline, You should try G. Steur reeds,either the German or French style.
The German will fit most mouthpieces with the exception of the Selmer s85.
They are quite consistent from box to box and more of them are playable
compared to Vandoren. A change of reed requires that you learn to work with
the particular reed before rejecting them. This takes some time to see if a
reed brand will work for you. I use Solo Esser Gold(German) in a 31/2(0n a
1.01 tip opening)and they sound their best after they are broken in for at
least a week.
