Here is another idea for a British clarinet recital:

"Suite for Emma" by John Dankworth. (dedicated to, and written for Emma
Johnson). The Scherzo movement is jazzy and really well written, a
beautiful tune. After all, Malcolm Arnold said it best when he said: "When
you write music, you've GOT to have a tune!"
