Ute and John,
Rick Sowash has kindly provided Encore Binary files of
his compositions Born of the Same Wild Mother and another
one to which I don't have the reference right now as I'm
in my office, not at home. I have been swamped with classes,
exams, homework, etc., during the past week. Rick's files
were created on a Mac and one correspondent has been successful
at downloading them to his Mac and playing them. I haven't
yet had the opportunity to download them and try them on
my PC version of Encore 4.0.

I have attached below the instructions for downloading music
files from my [music] subdirectory. The name of the two
experimental files of Rick which I have loaded are
wild1.;1 and c.cxa;1
I don't plan to load the others until I know that people can
read these.

Here are the instructions.

Here is how to get .MIDI, .MUS, Encore and other music
files from my subdirectory [anonymous.music].
Command from your end: ftp dhvx20.csudh.edu
Login as anonymous
Give your e-mail address as a password
At the ftp> prompt, type set binary
Change directories with the command cd /music
Type dir to get a directory of what is there.
Use the get command to name a file to be transferred to your site.
Give the name of the file at this end, then the name where you
want it to go at your end.

That ought to do it.
