Al Gray:

"To oil or not to oil - that is the question" is the title of an article
written by Tom Wheeler, master craftsman with the Yamaha Corporation, in a
new publication entitled CLARINET SOUNDS, available from Yamaha. He presents
all the pros and cons that I've ever seen discussed verbally or in print.
His final statement sums up my feeling about this matter - which often comes
up with new students to my studio: "Bottom line, do what your teacher tells
you - whatever that is!"
