I believe that the combination of clarinet, violin, viola and 'cello
is a very well represented area of chamber music from the early 19th
century. I suggest that you start looking in the Brixel rep book for
this combination and then check sources for dissertations in music--
there have been a few written concerning this instrumental combination.
There are three quartets of music from Mozart piano and violin sonatas
and from a piano quartet--arranged by someone (?) in the early 19th
century. One of the works uses a C clarinet--the Musica Rara ed of this
quartet has a Bb part-the Amadeus (Swiss) $$$ molto--has a C part. These
quartets have been discussed in a past issue of CLARINET. Ron M
