Subj: Question about bore oil
Date: Thu, 12 Oct 1995 16:53:54 -0400

Could some one on the list provide the latest thinking on the use of bore
oil in wooden clarinets. This question was raised by our Community Band
Director, Mr. Bill Wahl, who has also been teaching High School band
(Crescent Heights High School in Medicine Hat, Alberta) for over 25 years.
He is a good brass player and one year sat in part time with the clarinet
section. It was lots of fun for me as well as for him.

Perhaps other band teachers could say what they do about bore oil.
I am currently playing on a set of Boosey and Hawkes model 1010 Bb and A
with a new mouth piece (Larry Combs LC3). I like the combination.
